Designed for explosive speed, the Nike Vapor 12 delivers the lightweight and fast feel that the Vapor line was built upon, without compromising comfort or support. Nike used data from the worn shoes of arguably the most explosive mover on the pro tour, and engineered these Vapor 12’s to withstand the test of battle. Nike also listened to the consumers, and integrates various design concepts from some of the people's favorite Vapors; with an aesthetic inspiration from the Vapor VI Tour, and performance features from the Vapor Pro, Vapor X, Vapor 9/9.5. A Zoom Air unit in the heel supplies impact cushioning, and the split sole design helps to cut down on weight but maintain torsional rigidity. The fit band in the mid-foot increases lock-down and delivers more confidence on quick side-to side cuts. The outsole is comprised of Hart rubber for added durability, and molded into a split outsole with herringbone tread; ideal tread for hard courts, but performs well on all court surfaces.
